Situated on the St. Lawrence Seaway and adjacent to the Port of Johnstown grain terminal, the Johnstown distillery has been operating since 2008 and is a leading producer of fuel ethanol, corn oil, carbon dioxide, and distillers grains. Its location provides efficient water, rail, and highway access for getting products to customers quickly and efficiently.
Products and Markets Served
The Johnstown distillery produces:
- Fuel ethanol for lower-carbon gasoline blends
- Corn oil for use in feed and biodiesel applications
- Carbon dioxide as a co-product stream for industrial applications
- Distillers grains (DDGS) as a protein- and energy-rich feed ingredient for livestock
- High Purity ethanol for beverage alcohol producers, industrial and specialty chemical uses, pharmaceutical and life science applications.
